Checking for errors

If you keep going back to a sentence or paragraph of a manuscript or post, it’s best to trust your instincts, especially if something feels off. Changing the word order could make the sentence clearer. It could indicate a grammar error such as a difference in number between a verb or subject. One simple way to check is to read the sentence, paragraph or dialogue aloud or use Word’s Read Aloud function as sometimes hearing what you’ve written helps to identify and solve the problem.
